Accessibility

Our commitment to an accessible experience

Last updated: February 25, 2026

Our Commitment

TNDocket is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA conformance level.

Accessibility Features

TNDocket includes the following accessibility features:

  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable and operable using only a keyboard. A "Skip to content" link is available on every page.
  • Semantic HTML: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and ARIA labels to support screen readers and assistive technologies.
  • Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
  • Responsive design: The site works across all screen sizes, from mobile phones to large desktop monitors.
  • Alt text: Images include descriptive alternative text where meaningful content is conveyed.
  • Focus indicators: Visible focus rings appear on interactive elements when navigating by keyboard.
  • No autoplay: We do not use auto-playing audio or video.
  • Readable fonts: Body text uses a minimum 15px font size with comfortable line spacing.

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility limitations and are working to address them:

  • The interactive county map is not fully navigable by keyboard alone — the accompanying "Top Counties" list provides equivalent access to county pages.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

TNDocket is designed to be compatible with:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver)
  • Screen magnification tools
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation

Feedback

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on TNDocket, please let us know. We take accessibility feedback seriously and will work to address issues promptly.

Report accessibility issues through our Contact page. Please describe the issue, the page where you encountered it, and the assistive technology you were using.
