Conduct of hearing

PENDINGUnknown

What does this charge mean?

Juvenile court hearings are conducted without a jury, in an informal but orderly way, and separate from adult court proceedings. The prosecutor presents evidence on behalf of the state, and the court keeps a written record of everything that happens. This ensures fairness while recognizing that juvenile cases are different from adult criminal cases.
