Unruly child – Disposition

FELONYFelony

What does this charge mean?

When a child is found to be unruly (disobedient, incorrigible, or running away), the court can order supervision by the Department of Children's Services or non-custodial services, but cannot place them on probation unless they also committed a delinquent act. This statute is classified as a felony and treats unruly children differently than delinquent children.
