What does this charge mean?

It is illegal for a person selling smoking paraphernalia to fail to display a required warning sign at their point of sale. A person who sells smoking items without displaying the proper warning sign faces up to 30 days in jail and a $50 fine.

(a) A person who disseminates smoking paraphernalia shall prominently display in the place where the items are disseminated, either the sign required pursuant to § 39-17-1506(a) or the sign required by this section prior to April 22, 1994. (b) A violation of this section is a Class C misdemeanor.
