Retraction

A person charged with aggravated perjury can use as a defense the fact that they admitted their lie and corrected it before they finished testifying in the proceeding. This statute provides a single, limited way to avoid conviction for aggravated perjury by recanting the false testimony during the same proceeding where it was made.
