Required packaging

It is illegal to sell cigarettes or smokeless tobacco products unless they are in their original, sealed manufacturer's package with the federal health warning label. You cannot break up packages, remove products from original packaging, or sell loose cigarettes or tobacco. Violation is a Class C misdemeanor punishable by up to 30 days in jail and/or a fine up to $50.
