What does this charge mean?
A state lottery retailer must display their official authorization certificate at every location where they sell lottery tickets. Failing to do this is a Class C misdemeanor (up to 30 days jail and $50 fine).

(a) It is an offense for a state lottery retailer to fail to display a certificate of authorization pursuant to § 4-51-115(d) at each location where the retailer sells state lottery tickets or shares. (A) A person who sells state lottery tickets or shares on behalf of the corporation pursuant to a contract or an employee or agent of the person. See Tennessee Code 39-17-601(b) A violation of this section is a Class C misdemeanor.
