Tests not to be conducted earlier than grade three (3) – Test dates

(a) No state-mandated test shall be conducted earlier than grade three (3), except that when the first and second grade tests provided for in chapter 434, § 7 of the Public Acts of 1997 are available, these tests shall be conducted. Ask a legal question, get an answer ASAP!(b) The commissioner of education shall establish a schedule for the administration of the Tennessee comprehensive assessment program assessments and meet the provisions of § 49-1-226. The commissioner shall have the authority to adjust the schedule for reasons including, but not limited to, natural disaster, prolonged inclement weather, or serious outbreaks of contagious illness.
