(a) Any person who cancels or solicits the cancellation of any traffic citation, in any manner other than as provided in this chapter, commits a Class C misdemeanor. (b) Every record of traffic citations required in chapter 8 and parts 1-5 of this chapter shall be audited by the appropriate fiscal officer of the governmental agency to which the traffic-enforcement agency is responsible, within the time prescribed for the audit of other officers of the agency.
