William Bradford Bishop, Jr.

Bishop was last seen alive at a sporting goods store in Jacksonville, NC at ~1630 hrs. on 03/02/1976. His vehicle was recovered in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Gatlinburg, TN on 03/18/1976. He was an avid outdoorsman, camper, and hiker with extensive camping experience in Africa. He enjoyed canoeing, fishing, swimming, jogging, tennis, skiing and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed working out several times a week and was also a licensed amateur pilot who learned to fly in Botswana, Africa.
