Rape of a Child

TCA § 39-13-522

It is illegal to sexually penetrate a child who is more than 8 years old but less than 13 years old. This is a Class A felony punishable by 15-60 years in prison with a mandatory minimum sentence in Range II (a sentencing guideline range). The court cannot impose a sentence lower than Range II.
