This statute defines Schedule VI controlled substances, which include marijuana, THC (the active ingredient in cannabis), and synthetic versions of cannabis compounds. The statute itself does not create a crime—it only classifies these substances; however, possessing or selling them violates other Tennessee drug laws. Note: Industrial hemp (containing less than 0.3% THC) is specifically excluded from this classification.

Violating an order of protection or restraining order issued by a court is a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to 11 months and 29 days in jail and/or a fine up to $2,500. To be convicted, the person must have received notice of the court order, had a chance to appear in court, and the court must have made specific findings that the person committed domestic abuse or other qualifying conduct.

Driving while license cancelled, suspended or revoked – Minors – Forfeiture – Notice — Class B misdemeanor. Up to 6 months in jail and $500 fine. Penalty may be enhanced for prior offenses or aggravating factors.

Penalty: Class B misdemeanor; 6 months; fine up to $500

Display of registration plates – Manner – Penalty for violation — Class C misdemeanor. Up to 30 days in jail and $50 fine. Penalty may be enhanced for prior offenses or aggravating factors.
